After finding out I had aphantasia (which is the inability to see in your "mind's eye" after reading an essay by Blake Ross, I began researching similar neurological phenomena. I was inspired to create a zine version of the 2010 face blindness article by Oliver Sacks, Face-Blind.

I wanted to keep the layout simple to keep the reader focused on the sometimes dense subject of the, article. However, subtle unique elements like the boarder guiding the reader to open or flip the zine keep the design fresh and alluring.

Chad Wys' Arragnement In Skintones, complements both the subject of face blindness and the layout's style. To complement the art, circles designate how the zine is unfolded and read instead of traditional numerical pagination.
